Roof Decks.

London has probably more roof decks than anywhere else in the country - most of them built by us over the past 10 years.
Two specific skills are required for roof decks. Proven construction knowledge to assess the suitability of building a deck on a roof and the skill to load large amounts of timber up to 8 storey heights.

The main thing we will look for is whether or not your roof is strong enough and not likely to spring leaks once the deck is built. We build every roof deck onto solid rubber suspension pads to prevent point-loadings and maintain efficient drainage under the deck.
Often, great skill is required just to load the timber onto the roof. Small decks only one or two floors up have the wood pulled onto the roof on a scaffold pulley. Larger jobs require heavier equipment...

...and a great deal of planning. On the right is our 60 tonne crane that can lift up to 10 floors. We may also need to liase with the local authority for road permission. Either way, you can leave it all to us. We have years of experience and have built more roof decks than anyone else.

Planning Permission

There are some local authority restrictions in Central London, particularly in conservation areas. We can advise on your project and apply for the necessary permission to build. Generally though, this is not required and a roof deck will give you a new view on the world.
